Top of Solothurn

Love to stay at this place. One of my favorites. Good for just sitting outside the Church and eat an icecream or to go inside and look at this awesome building.

This cathedral is located in old town. Very beautiful architecture with nice environment. If you bring car, just find the parking behind the church then take a walk. You can find many shops, Manor restaurant, chocolate shop, restaurants etc.

Beautiful cathedral. Just awesome. The moment you go inside you feel awe. Amazing paintings that depict the life of Christ dating back to 1773.

Of the cathedrals that I have visited so far in Switzerland, this was by far the most impressive! Although large, it pales in comparison to others in Europe, though with that in mind, the interiors are bright and illuminated. Worth a visit!

The interior of this baroque style built cathedral is very beautiful but what I like most, is to climb up the tower and have a great view of the old town of Solothurn and the area around the City. The stairs in front are a well known meeting point - just like Sacre Coeur at Paris :)!

An excellent Baroque-style Cathedral but not the best or the largest I have encountered. Still worth a visit

A very nice cathedral. The beautiful paintings & statues alone are worth the visit even if you are not religious. Climb up the tower behind the cathedral for a 360 view of Solothurn. It's only 3 francs.

Be sure to look back when you are in the curch as you don't w ant to miss the organ. We heard the choir practicing when we were there and that was an extra. The lucky number in Solothurn is 11. Note the three sets of 11 steps leading to the church. Climb the tower for a wonderful vista of... More
