This wooden construction is in no way inferior to the great example of Lucerne. Just not so well known.

It was great walking across the river. Some construction work was going on to maintain the bridge. Once this is completed, it will be again a must visit location.

Fantastic Bridge! very interesting, worth hiring a guide for expert knowledge, you need to observe the inside of the roof.

The bridge is similar to the one in Baden (Aargau canton). One important advantage of the bridge - it has a roof and you kind of covered from all sides. It is very convenient in case of rain :D

The market (arts) held every so often at the old wooden bridge in Olten is always a great adventure. A variety of many artist get to display their work. Really interesting. The bridge is amazing and watching the River Aare passing is very calming.

Nice place to visit and look from all available angles. Close to city center and train station. Nearby some restaurants and the Aare Bistro overlooking the river and the bridge.

Close to the railway station you find this charming old wooden bridge, leading directly in to the old town of Olten. Sometimes, there is a market on the bridge. It is always nice to walk on this bridge and delve into past times.

Bridge is over 200 years old and only accesible for pedestrians. Having grown up in Olten, it was just part of life going into the old-town
