The Rhine Falls, the biggest waterfall in Europe, offer the visitors a spectacular sight! 17,000 years ago this impressive wonder of nature was formed and is now the main attraction for countless visitors from all over the world. Over a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres, an average of 700,000 litres of water cascade over the rocks every second. A boat ride to the famous rock in the middle of the Falls and the short walk to the top, is an unforgettable experience for every visitor.

I was with my family at Neuhausen visiting Rhinefalls. A lovely Indian cafe selling samosa and vada and the man selling was from Rajasthan and now also started selling non. Veg Indian Tandoori items. Chicken Tikka with hot Tandoori nan was awesome. My kids loved malai tikka naan and Nutella naan. Prices were very reasonable and food was fresh and... More

Not sure what say about this attraction. We were there in August and it was super hot. You park in the parking lot and you will end up walking for about 15min if you walk fast. Then you will find a long line that took probably 30 min....... You finally arrive to the ticket booth. There you have have to... More

There's no denying that the falls themselves are an impressive bit of nature in action, but the attraction itself feels a bit like you're being milked for everything you have. Anything that could possibly have a cost attached to it has had exactly that, meaning that if you don't arrive fully loaded up with every conceivable snack, drink, or item... More

We went whilst staying in Zurich. We got the train from Zurich to Neuhausen Rheinfall on the way there and from Schloss Laufen to Zurich on the way back. The ticket we got from Zurich covered the trains to the falls and the boat across from one side of the river to the other. It is well worth the visit... More

The falls are very loud which is nice to hear the water sound and they create this water spray when it breaks and as you stand by you get refreshed by the flying sprinkles of the Rhine. They have good restaurants and cafes there although its expensive. 7€ for a sausage sandwich and 4.5€ for a bottle of water/soft drink.... More

This place is about an hour plus travel from Zurich, and therefore we decided to visit it while we were staying there. Maybe this didn't appeal to me as much, because I've already visited the Niagara Falls, but it pretty much seemed like a dam that has been left open, but in a more natural setting. It could still have... More

We planned to visit Rhine Falls during our Zurich Stay. We boarded the train from Zurich HB station for Schaffhausen, 40 Minutes journey by non stop train. After reaching Schaffhausen, we boarded a bus for another town neuhausen and from there, it was a 10 mins. Walk made difficult by the rain. The Rhine Falls are spectacular in width, though... More

The Rhine Falls are beautiful, it is true. Unfortunately, they are located within Switzerland, a country determined to steal every last dollar from every visitor that comes to their country. It was bad enough when we visited with friends a few years ago. We invited them for coffee & cake around 4 pm, as is local custom, at a small... More
