A stunning very well maintained church in the old town that one needs to visit. You also get beautiful views looking down over the town. Due to Covid and the number of groups we didn’t go inside but I’m sure would be worth a visit.

Very beautiful church which is worth above all by its external aspect, the interior being very sober and works for the moment, which makes that one does not have access to the interesting parts.
Outside, small patio with colonnade very cute and well maintained.
In the back, walk on the ramparts to benefit from different points of view.

The place and surroundings are very nice and historically interessant. But unfortunately the nice, blooming and calm cloister was renovated with ugly and modern floor. This is such a shame.
From the hill you have a very nice view on the city's roofs, the lake and the Alps.
Beside that you can take a walk to the adjacent Prince's garden.

While the church is magnificent, it is a shame that so much of it is shut away as part of a massive restoration project.

This reformation style church, which is currently under renovation, was built in the 12th century and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. There is a bit of a climb to the church from the downtown area, but it worth it for the views from the grounds, the exterior of the church, and the ramparts. From here, it is a short walk to the old castle nearby.

The church is being renovated in two parts and the most interesting monument inside is currently not on view. If you are in Neuchatel, walk around in the grounds, the pleasant cloister and have a quick look inside as it is pleasant on a sunny day.

The walk up hill can be challenging but the architecture along the way is beautiful and worthy of pictures (and a chance to catch your breath!). The inside of the church is dark but the view of the city below is nice. Don’t miss the walking bridge to the southeast of the church

The Church is very close to the Chateau. Built in 12th Century and dedicated to the virgin Mother mary. Unfortunately it is under renovation. This process will last for 5 years. However you can benefit from the stunning views of Neuchatel from the top all around the Church.

I only went up to see this church because my daughter said that the views were great. I wasn't expecting to find such an interesting church. I believe some of it is currently being renovated because some of the church is cut off by chip board but this is a true reformation church that oozes history because of it's lack of anything smacking of catholicism, which in a french speaking area felt really unusual. The statue outside speaks for itself....he's saying 'it's about the bible, not the icons'. Great views of the town adn lake too. Just don't let your kids near the ramparts. It's a loonnngg way down. Also there's a lifelike mural of an old man on the little house on the ramparts who's probably been in more family photos than any other old man!

Make the effort to walk up and enjoy the views. Maybe a 10 Min walk up the hill from Place Pury.

There is a nice coffee shop up there too
