Visited the Queen of the mountains by all three means of transport. Walks at the top and lovely views. Were recommended to stop at the hotel by the train station on the way down and try the new Spa facility. Swimming inside and out, with views of the mountains! Just right after a walk too.

Took the Ferry from Luzern to Rigi and the cog train to the top. Be prepared to walk. Don't even think about not bringing a camera! The views are spectacular, and the area is large enough that even big crowds won't keep you from seeing everything. The restaurant at the top is cafeteria style - food was average. On the... More

It's a lovely train ride up to the top of Mount Rigi with a unique view across all of central Switzerland! It's quite busy on a pretty day so make sure to get up there early to enjoy a quaint walk around. You'll find some nice restaurants up there as well as well as the Rigi Mountain Spa which is... I was simply spellbound, amazed and felt truly Blessed being there with my husband and one of my children and his family. We travelled via Cog Wheel train on the last leg og the journey. We viewed the huge trees, the neatly kept lawns of the farms and a couple of waterfalls. At times I probably had the 'Alice in... More

It cost 136 Swiss francs but with our half fare card that covered the two of us, and that was for first class on the boat which allows you onto the top deck,... More

We visited mount Rigi during our recent trip to Switzerland in July'16. The place is favorite among locals and it isreally a must visit place if your are in Luzern. The entire trip to Rigi (Including ship ride, cable car and cog wheel train) is 100% free if you are holding Swiss pass. The altitude is 1700+Meter so don't expect... More
