We visited the Chapel Bridge yesterday. It's a historic bridge between the newer part of town and the "old town" area. The bridge is lined with flowers on both sides. Very pretty. When you cross be sure to notice the overhead paintings showing the areas historic events.

Not only is the bridge quaint and obviously old, there are lovely paintings all along on the ceiling and the archways beneath.

This bridge is fascinating and pretty. It would be nice however to have more information on it on the actual bridge. There are plaques on either side of it, but I didn't see any when crossing the bridge.

This historic bridge is the backdrop to all activities on the Lake, river and old town. It is quite charming and rather well kept, despite being mostly wooden construction.

A simple walk yes but with the surroundings this makes for a memorable event. From wherever you come from: hotel, train station, bus-car this bridge is right downtown, separates the old from the new sections (both may be still universally 'old' to you) and introduces you to Lake Lucerne (or Luzern). The bridge is not a 'straight across' affair but... More

It is an important place symbol of the city of Lucerne. It was burnt in 1993 but was then rebuilt and is still amazing to see it and walk through it. I agree, it is nicer from outside than from inside.

This is a beautiful covered bridge with lovely flowers decorating the outside. it's hard to find fault with this reproduction but it is really crowded with tourists and way too many people taking unnecessary selfies. Have someone take your picture please.

Wooden bridge with flower pots hanging on sides (flowers in spring and summer only). Good place to take pictures.
