Easy to get to and worth a look. Monument dedicated to 600-700 Swiss guards killed defending French aristocracy. Very moving tribute.

When you search Lucerne , the Lion is the first thing you will find. A right of passage for visitors and very close to city centre. Free of charge and next to the glacier museum for those interested.

This is a must see when in Lucerne. Easy to find by following the signs from the old town area. Contained in a wonderful little park.

You go up to the Rathausplatz, than turn right to the Weggisgasse. Go right along this street. Go straight on to the Hertensteinstrasse to the Löwenplatz. Cross this place and go short left, 30 sec.
