This Jesuit church was not on our tour itinerary but our walking guide Janette proudly had to show us. Loved the smaller understated aura of this church and the mainly 2 colour decor. I am sure there are many stories to be told here, many altars that each have a story. Would be worth looking up the history before a... More

I've toured a lot of beautiful European churches, but don't miss this one! It is very lovely and worth a visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful inside - very lovely!

We should have allotted more time for this church. It is impressive and needs to be closely observed due to all the ornate adornment. Probably attending a service would be a treat.

Swiss churches are very different to those found in England - stained glass windows do not feature largely and in general are less ornate. Lots of gold featured on the various alters.

Very ornate church, worth stopping by to warm up, particularly on cold days. Free entry, very large and lots to look at from the walls to the roof.. Built in approx 1666 and was the first baroque style church in Switzerland. Definitely worth a short visit

This church is just gorgeous. Walk inside and look up! I was so impressed by the beauty of this church. No other tourist around so we were able to enjoy it in peace.

Simon at Free Walking Tour Lucerne brought us into the Jesuit Church or Jesuitenkirche. I am so glad he did. From the rather plain door front, I was completely caught surprised and in awe of the beautiful interior. It was truly stunning. On my own, I may not have readily wandered in.

Wow. Looks can be deceiving. Usually the outside is much nicer but in this.case the inside is gold and glitzy inside. The organ pipes are huge. The organist was learning and practicing and was making a mess of the music. But the sound of the organs were amazing nonetheless. Free to enter. The doors were shut but just open and... More

This church is more amazing from the outside than inside in my opinion. This church has a grand appearance from far across town with the two imposing towers. The inside is also beautiful but similar to most other European churches of this era.
