As I had been here on a previous visit, I was disappointed to find it was closed for renovations. As photos show, it has spectacular Baroque interior - but you can't get in!

I loved walking by this church every day on the way to and from the hotel. If you find yourself in Lucerne, walk across a bridge to the other side of the river, order a glass of wine at an outdoor spot, relax and chat with your friends, then aim your camera at the church as darkness falls.

After leaving Italy, you'll start to miss seeing duomos, cathedrals and churches. This was the first church I saw the whole day. A peaceful and serene place to worship not to mention you got out of the heat. From this church, make sure to go through the historic bridge going back to the shopping area.

I was really looking forward to this and was disappointed to find out that it's closed for renovation whole year of 2016. Well. Guess I'll just have to come back again.

Most Christians will be impressed by this hold and historic church. The architecture is out of this world. Be sure to spend a half-hour touring the sanctuary and connected enclaves. Look up from the back of the church then go up front to the alter and look up again at the back of the sanctuary to view the immense pipe... More

Mary & Jesus statue is the right hand side of the church is absolutely gorgeous & very pretty!! You also need to see around outside of the church there... More

We hoped to see this but it is closed for this year. No signs visible around the building. Many others tried to enter. We found this information in another brochure about the closing.

This is one of the standard stops on the self-guided walking tour of Lucerne. It's an attractive looking structure and makes for some nice photographs. Unfortunately I visited too late in the day and so couldn't actually go inside.

Visited here during a winter day. The church is beautiful and essentially empty. We were there at 1300 Saturday. Wish I could have gotten a guided tour.
