This beautiful church built in the Baroque style is the first of its kind to be built in Switzerland. A quiet sanctuary for some meditation.

Very feminine pink decoration is very Frenchy looking instead. I enjoyed the quitness of thos church - hard to notice the entrance and door is not kept open like many Italian churches do. You might miss it if you are not looking for it.

This church had a nice and bright interior that allowed you to enjoy the frescoes on the walls. The altar had these 6 large brown pillars that went to the ceiling and this was in contrast to the light colored almost white interior of the...More

Worth a visit, great place to escape the muggy summer heat or the tourists. This church is very impressive to see.

It literally means "Jesuit Church" and is the first large Catholic Baroque Church in Switzerland. Construction of the church started in the late 17th century and enhancements continued through the late 19th century. This is a gorgeous and stately church framed along the Reuss River.

We were very surprised when we walked into this church. When we first approached all the doors were closed with a tour group in front of it, but we saw another person open the door so we did too and WOW! I can't add any...More

We were not prepared to find such a beautiful, historic church. It is so bright because the glass in the windows is almost clear - not stained - so the light pours in. This was done on purpose to give attendees a brighter experience according...More

This historic cathedral is so light and bright - different from most I’ve visited in Europe. You will be deeply moved from the moment you walk in. Enjoy 15 minutes here.

Visited on the day of Pentecost when a service was taking place so could not walk around the church but it was still possible to appreciate the architecture and the paintings. The atmosphere was electric.
