Great Experience with SBB Luggage Service (2 Replies)
We recently returned from Switzerland and used the SBB Luggage Service to send our large bags to destinations rather than carrying them on the trains. We first learned about the service here on this forum and it worked perfectly, saving us a lot of hassle. On some of the trains we took (2nd class), there were many others who had their large bags with them and had to manage and find a place to put them on crowded trains -- while doable, it was a lot easier to move around with just backpacks....More

Glad you liked the service - it is really excellent. There is another one too - Flight Luggage. You can ship bags door to door with this too. You get your receipts and boarding passes from the driver when he collects the bags. Other airlines - you collect it at the airport station and check it in. Coming into Switzerland this service is even better - bags will be...More

Hi there, Yes if you travel VIA Bruenig you'll follow exactly the Golden Pass route. 2 transfers, in Interlaken and in Zweisimmen. And indeed if you deliver luggage early enough in Lucerne station it should be delivered in Montreux at proper time. All the best, <Erik> & [Sandya]

Luggage storage at Lucerne station (2 Replies)
Hello again, Please help me with information regarding luggage storage at Lucerne. We are arriving Lucerne on 20th June by noon, and our apartment is at Wirzweli. So, we want to keep our luggages at Lucerne, train station, explore the city and in the evening go to our apartment. So, what are the charges and the what size they allow for the luggage, and till what time? I am not able to find the charge in Internet.

There are luggage lockers at Luzern station. As far as I remember they come in 3 sizes small, medium and large. You need coins yo use them but I'm not sure if the cost. There are some by platform 3 and more by platform 14? Not sure that's the right number.
