It’s not easy to find cheese which doesn’t use animal rennet, not one or two, this place boasts of at least a dozen homemade cheese options which are vegetarian! They also have a homemade cheese fondue which is vegetarian by virtue of using the vegetarian cheese! Mighty impressed... thank you for making this happen! PS: the outdoor seating looking over the alps based in the vicinity of the monastery is absolutely amazing!

This Cheese Factory is not a great thing. It is just like a Shop. Only in between a glass covered machineries making cheese will be seen. However nothing is in writing provided. These Cheese here is unbelievebly costly. If you are wishing to see something on the line of famous netherlands factory , you will have deep disappointment.

I visited the Cheese Factory while staying in Engelberg. It was so interesting to watch the cheese being made. There are different times that the cheese is made throughout the day, but don’t worry you’ll get to see the cheese being made aslong as you go there during their open hours. I then had a Raclette and it was amazing!

Very interesting to see the cheese being made. Even better to taste it! Not much to see really otherwise unless you go in the actual Monastery. It is just a glorified shop really.
