I was in Geneva for work and wanted to see a rugby match on a Saturday. The bar staff were very helpful in showing the rugby on a few screens and the Premier League football on other screens. Had some chicken wings while there which were pretty good.

Chf 9.20 for a pint of Heineken is a joke even by Geneva standards. The place has no soul, as many TVs as a branch of Dixon's and the food makes you miss Weatherspoons.
Much better bars in vicinity (just walk down Bld Carl Vogt (opposite)).

We went to this place with a group of friends to watch a football match. We booked two tables for 8. We were 6 and they didn’t want to give us those two tables because we had to be 7 minimum. Fine. So they put 2 of us on the other side of the bar. 20 minutes later they put 2 guys on the table we had booked... Then later those guys left and a friend came so we were 7 in the end. When we asked to be moved again to the table we had booked they said no, saying we would not respect covid rules (????). All of this to put a group of 3 on it 5 minutes later! We stayed very polite all the time, if that’s not racism or stupidity i don’t understand what it is ! Very disappointed by their rudeness.

We booked few tables at this bar as in a group, asking to have them all close, while they put us very distant between each other. We asked again to sit in closer tables but they said no, allowing other people that came later and without reservation to seat where we wanted.
The TV was not working well and we could not watch our football match in peace.
The service is horrible and very rude.

Yesterday night I had the worse experience since I live in Switzerland in this so-called pub.
I was with a friend and his 7 months old daughter and the personnel just before the game started literally kicked us out from the pub just because we had a baby. Can you believe it?
The baby was aboslutely cool, not crying at all, not screaming and she was peacefully in her father's arms. We were sitting at the bar, not creating disturb to anyone without even having brought any stroller in order to not occupy too much space... and they still kicked us out because of the baby.

This is a shame, and this people should feel ashamed for such a beahviour in 2017. It is not written anywhere that it's forbidden to bring babies in the pub, and as fathers (as I'm as well) we would have understood to leave in case the situation would have been too chaotic for the baby. But they have no right to force us to leave if we create no problems to other customers.
As father I will never ever go back to such disgusting place and I hope this recension will be read by other parents and they will do the same.
PS.
Just next to the pub there is an Italian pizzeria with nice and polite people that welcome you, also if you dare to bring a baby, where you can watch games as well.

I recently came here to watch the World Cup qualifiers, and they had three different games on. The atmosphere was great, the pub was really busy without becoming claustrophobic, and their burgers (made from local meat) and chips are top-notch! Do not arrive too early, though, as they don't put on any heating, to cool down the pub in advance... shame. If this wasn't the case, I would definitely also use this pub to meet friends for a quiet glass of wine or beer.

Great pub, nice selection of beers and the only place in Geneva where we could get real pub grub just like home. Fish and chips, awesome curry and Bangers and Mash. The burgers were also great, and the staff were very friendly and efficient.
This place is also well set up with giant screens to watch all sports. Definately going back with the team.

I use to be a regular for football games, nice tv screens all over the place, games live, people coming in - only to realize staff are awful - in particular a waiter in a blue French jersey shirt completely arrogant asking the client if he speaks English and contesting anything from price, means of payments, etc... It's the last time I put my place into that place...

I went to Lady Godiva for beers and burgers after work with my workmates, and it's a pretty nice pub! The inside looks very nice, with comfortable seating, and large TV screens to watch sports. There is a good selection of beer, and the food is not too expensive, as is typical of Geneva. There is even a small patio in front. It's a good option if you are in the Plainpalais area.
