The Parc des Bastions is a large and centrally located park and it offers an assortment of activities to do and see while visiting. There is the Reformation Wall, Library, University, Palace, games area, kiosk/restaurant, public restrooms, and a selection of nearly 150 trees from around the world. There are many benches and statues along the walking trial. I spent more time at the Reformation Wall with the large statues of Calvin, Farel, Beze and Knox behind the moat.

Cute Christmas Market. To be fair, it is hard to say our experience was as good as it would have been if we had better weather. It was rainy and it was also Christmas Eve. So many of the events may have been cancelled and some of the huts were shut. Very cute atmosphere with chandeliers hanging from trees etc. It was mostly food vendors and merchants selling their products while we were there. There wasn't much shelter from the rain so we didn't stay long. But, since we arrived on 12/24 and it was the last day, we wanted to check it out. Note: we learned that all of the Christmas markets in Switzerland end on 12/24. So, try to go before then if you want to go to the Christmas Markets. In general, it seemed like not a whole lot to do here if you are going outside of December. Try to plan to see another site nearby and walk through here rather than making this your only destination.

The park is a lovely promenade lined with trees featuring some of Geneva's well known attractions, The Giant chess board, Reformation Wall, Statue of Frankenstein. This is the first botanical park of Geneva attracting locals and tourists. The park is beautiful, serene and very lovely to walk in.

We walked through this park a couple times while we were in town, getting from here to there, and enjoyed the view every time.
