Misplaced building, geographically and historically: closing the trainstation place behind unhappily and surrounded by streets with huge traffic. Strange architecture, sort of fake old.

I love to visit these old churches that have tall ceilings, stained glass windows, intricate interior architect, choir lofts, etc. I slipped inside during rush hour one evening, and enjoyed sitting in the stillness of this quiet space.

Surprisingly, in Geneva this concathedral has plenty of Masses on Sundays. Also the priest and the choir are not that bad. Building architecture and window painted glasses are also nice to see.

Beautifully maintained basilica, we fully recommend paying the small price to climb the towers. There are many stairs and you can get access to several bell towers. The views were great and you could see for miles. The lovely city roofs were very pretty in...More

I almost thought I was across the rive and up the hill because of the similarities in architecture with St. Pierre's. Yet, sitting and meditating for a while, the pleasant differences came out, including size as well as denomination, as this is a Catholic Church....More

Catholic basilica in protestant capital. Very peacefull and calm church. Beautiful decorations. It is located near the train station in the middle of an important traffic area.

The Notre-Dame Basilica is the main Catholic church in Geneva. The church is easy to find, especially if you arrived at the railway station. The entrance to the church is free for all visitors.

7.30.17 Went to Church here in the evening Sunday at this amazing Roman Catholic Cathedral. This is a smaller version of Paris and Montreal NDs but still pretty awesome. On Sunday Night at 7pm there is a mass in English as most all other masses...More

We came here for church on Sunday at 11:30 AM for service. It was really enjoyable and although it was in French you could easily follow the service. The church itself is Gothic inside and very beautiful. Definitely a nice place for Sunday mass.

The Notre Dame cathedral is just steps away from the train station. The architecture is similar to what you'd see in most cathedrals- but what we liked about this one during our weekday visit was that it was mostly empty except for a couple of...More
