The lake is a big draw in Geneva, and in the summer, you absolutely have to go for a swim. There are several free beaches that are small and get crowded. Genève Plage also gets crowded, but it has a lot to offer. There's a very large pool with lap lanes and an adult-only section. There's a platform in the... More

This is a great place to take the family for swimming, picnic and to enjoy a sunny day while in Geneva. The beauty of the lake can be fully appreciated in the Geneva plage. There are facilities for changing, you can rent a cabin and keep your belongings safe while you swim. (Mind you the crow is a decent one... More

On a sunny day Genève plage is a great place to stay. You can swim in the pool and/or in the lake, eat something simple from the restaurant and there are some areas with sports instruments. On a sunny day it can be crowded but the ambiance is always very pleasant!

When the weather is good Geneva Plage is definitely the place to go especially if you have children. A retro styled public set swimming pools facing the lake (you can also swim in the lake with a dedicated area) with even a big waterslide that will delight little ones and adults alike.

While visiting Geneva, it was one of my 25 places to visit in the city which I really liked and didn't felt that I had wasted time

I travelled to Geneva in 2000 and visited the beaches on the lake whilst I was there. We went for a swim in the lake which was rather cold. What a beautiful scenic and popular beach though.

Well-equipped, with accesses to pools, water slides and the lake, it's a fabulous place for a family pic-nick too! I can't fault it - save that the entrance fee is regularly increased with a decrease in service and comforts. Administrators beware - you most faithful patrons are growing angry and will be looking for alternatives if you don't wise up.

Unfortunately we visited in December so we didn't take to the water, although some hardy souls were swimming!!! We took the yellow ferry out from the other side of the lake and walked around passed the marina and back over the bridge, it was really pleasant when the sun came out.
