This museum is linked to the Photography Museum and shows cutting edge contemporary art. The space is vast and industrial looking. There's no coffee shop inside, but there are bistros on the same street nearby. Highly recommended.

To be honest I have to admit I'm not a big fan of art museums but I can definitely enjoy a good one when I see one. This one isn't. The exhibitions are usually pretty lame and in the end there isn't much to see.

We have absolutely enjoyed the modern art at the Tate in London. Well, this is NOT London! This is the most depressing art exhibit in the most depressing building with some of the most pompous staff I have ever encountered. Art can be dark, but it can also be fun and light. This is a seriously unbalanced exhibit. I don't... More

Whether you like or not the exhibits, do not miss this amazing museum on 4 large floors. You can easily spend 1 to 2 hours there. The space is fascinating as it used to be a former industrial unit. Some of the installations sit beautifully with this architecture. The art here is well curated and presented. You have to journey through every room to see everything that's on offer. The pieces are eclectic, thought provoking and intelligently displayed. The staff are well informed and the free... More

Housed in a post-industrial building, the MAMCO offers spacious rooms filled with a very diverse collection of contemporary art, both Swiss and international. Humorous and ironic, political and purely visual, the paintings and objects astonish, please and startle. Good for lonely pensive visit, a couple's evening out, a family outing or a school class. First-rate in an unpretentious way.

We are not strangers to modern art and regularly visit exhibitions in London and elsewhere. We have a small collection of contemporary painting and sculptures. However this museum is dull. It is a collection of pretentious twaddle. Art is obviously subjective and no doubt some people will find it fascinating but we found it awful.

24 films on the 4th floor museum. They are like fairy tales in a very common but strange context to make you lose the plot. Magic and mesmerizing! Gorgeous exhibition for those who like contemporary art. The whole museum is excellent. It is located downtown Geneva in a factory. 29 Oktober 2014 to 18 January 2015.
