In the name of reform, I would suggest that automating the staff would be worthwhile. The museum itself is automated and self-guided. It would probably be an improvement to do the same with the reception staff who were at best disinterested in us as visitors....More

When i visit a museum about history which costs 13 CHF, which won prizes previously, I expected to learn more details about the reformation of Europe in general or Geneva specifically. Unfortunately many of the details listed especially for the history of the reformation in...More

The museum is full of artifacts related to the reformation. The admission includes a guided tour of sorts. While most of the writing is in French, in each room there are notebooks which explain the artifacts in various languages.

This museum is housed in a lovely part of old Geneva off a plaza (of sorts) by St. Pierre's Cathedral. It was a pleasant 20-minute walk from where I was staying by the main train station. The entrance was around the corner and out of...More

Highlights for me were the interactive musical experiences. You can get a brochure and an audio guide in English which is handy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The general themes are in English whilst other documents are in their source language. The audio guide is useful although the index numbers in the displays can be a little hard to find. The history of the religious wars was covered in some detail. The...More

This was the highlight of our trip. Fairly difficult to find, as Rue des Cloitres is not on most maps, but just round the corner from Cathedral Saint-Pierre. The museum is quite traditional, but does have audio in English, French and German (I think). The...More

This was an interesting visit to learn more about the reformation movement. The audio guide included with the ticket price was good and the exhibits very informative. I'm also reliably informed by my wife, who teaches about the reformation as part of the UK history...More
