Very cute little park, a bit hidden but easy to find following google map. Plenty of benches where to sit and relax in this extremely peaceful park.

In the middle of the busy town, an oasis and beautiful place to came down, to take a rest, to feel calm and nice. Just a nice place.

a beautiful small park along the two arms of the suze river...walk from the old town towards the Museums, then along the river, walk through the park, have a lunch or dinner in the restaurant "L'Ecluse" which borders the park...perfect.
alternatively, as it's not far from the train station, have your business lunch there...

We found this park during a walk to the lake in the late afternoon. We entered the gates and enjoyed a stroll. At the other end, we wanted to exit but the gates were locked, so we walked back to the gates we used to enter the park. Why was it locked? In any case, the park is not that big, so it wasn't a problem.

Quiet little park in the center of the city, where you can sit down and relax. Sometimes there will be live animals in the park.

This park is so romantic, peaceful and well-looked after.....the only downside is you can't walk your dog here.....probably because a beautiful black cat lives in the beautiful house next door.

located on the walking way along the channel (one way to get from the railway station to the boats on the lake), this little piece of park is nice and relaxing. no big thing, but just nice.

The park is very cute, with little river, peacocks and lots of benches to sit on.
You can enjoy a chilling moment just laying on the grass and this, only 5 minutes away from the train station and city center. I really like the fact that it is a private owned park, open to everyone to enjoy it! Another treat, if you want to enjoy a good lunch/dinner or just drink, you'll find the great restaurant "L'Ecluse" just at the entrance of the park, surely a place to go in summer!

This is a lovely place middle in Biel (very next to the station). Just to have a look or to stay for some time in this beautiful park.

Think of Hugh Grant and Julie Roberts in Nottinghill, reclining on a park bench, wrought iron fencing and shrubbery let to spill all about them and this is pretty much what the traveller gets in Parc Elfenau, well, minus the movie stars. This is a classic European 'neighbourhood' fountain of greenery where the Swiss combine perfectly trimmed knots of pathways that wind between patches of untamed verdant overgrowth - wild tall grasses and tangled shrubs, a duck pond and a small running creek, benches placed in cozy nooks, and a little round closed-in veranda as an escape from the rain (Note: The trimming in this garden is as the season allows, so in winter, the overgrowth is cut back - in which case it is still a charming garden, but it is in summer/fall that it really floods the senses with that storybook atmosphere).
Although this park is set inside Biel/Bienne's core, stepping through its gates, one can easily feel like they have just been dropped into the countryside, with the Jura Mountains on one side and the charming Suze River canal promenade on the other. It can feel very much like a private garden, with children running about - take note, there's no play structures, which is actually quite a lovely thing. It leaves the children to investigate the duck pond and play hide-and-seek. It's charming. Families do tend to drift through here, but it is mostly a quiet read-a-book park, a counterpoint to a nearby sweeping lakeside park of fields and play structures where families tend to while the sunshine hours.
It is not a huge park but it is a pleasant oasis and a lovely little detour off a city stroll and as another reviewer mentioned, it is near enough the train station for an outside lunch break.
Biel/Bienne, it should be noted, has lovely strolling promenades, Jura hiking trails and lakefront dining - not necessarily of the Berne/Zurich style, but something more understated, laidback and quite peaceful.
