We went up to the castle with three kids and were amazed about the beautiful view over the mediveal city of Thun. Lots to discover for kids. Collection is quite interessting, it should have more information about weapons and warfare. We are coming back

The Schloss is very well presented throughout to give a visitor a good grasp of the history of the Schloss, and city of Thun. A climb to the top to see the fine view from the turrets is well worth the effort.

A good overview of the past well illustrated and set out, intriguing building with something to interest all ages. The restaurant and hotel adjacent are truly magnificent, if costly but worth a visit on their own.

We enjoyed our visit to Schloss Thun. A short climb above the town but worth it. We found the displays to be very interesting but I think our favorite part was the top room of the castle and the old beams. It was interesting to...More

The castle is impressive to look at and the small museum provides considerable history about the castle and city. There are wonderful views from the turrets.

WE had a spare day in Interlaken and hence decided to see this castle. It was fun. Spent some time there and came to know History about the castle. On return we came by Cruise to Interlaken.

Situated on top of a hill. the castle is well kept and you can see nice panoramic views of the town from the turrets. Wear comfortable shoes because you need to climb a lot of stairs.

I came to Thun by train, but I did notice quite a big parking lot underneath the Aldi on Grabenstrasse (there's a Tamoil gas station in front of it). If you go to the castle via the winding road right next to the roundabout... More
