We took the cruise at Thun and the view is stunning. The cabin is nice and tidy. However, the staff in the food counter was impatient and impolite. The staff in charge of the counter said" speed up" and " we have no time" when...More

We decided to take the boat from Interlaken to the city of Thun. The boat calls at a number of small harbours on the way, and the trip takes about 2 hours. Thun is a place where a must is a visit to the Church,...More

You could spend a week or a lifetime dropping off at points round this lake, Thun at one end and Interlaken at the other. Old and intriguing or big and brash - take your choice. For even better views go up on one of the...More

This is a beautiful lake and there are many options for water activities, cruising the lake or just walking or cycling along it.

Make sure to take a lake cruise. there are plenty of lake cruise options and if the weather is good, don't miss it.

Switzerland overall is beautiful, but this part of the country is amazingly beautiful, definitively. I'll recommend you travel by train, double deck bus or at least someone driving whilst you sit back and enjoy the scenario.

We took the train from Interlaken West to Thun and go back to Interlaken by Boat. I think was a good choice to see the lake and the train route between these fantastics cities at the Swiss Alps.

We took the boat ride around the lake, the price of which was included with our Swiss Rail Pass. It was our first lake tour (we eventually also saw parts of Lake Geneva and Lake Zurich in our two-week Swiss trip). In retrospect, it was...More
