Bern is a stunner, the Old Town is full of charm, cobbled streets, cafes and restaurants at every turn, foods from across the globe, chocolate shops on every block. Amazing shops, cellar shops full of quirkiness , church spires rising above the skyline, sights and museums to be inspired by, art to gaze at and be left speechless by. Transport... More

Enjoyed a memorable times where shops and restaurants all over the place. One day iy was the ONION festival where all roads are blocked from cars entering the old town. Small time temporary shops open to serve walking festivals. Resturants thete sre serving tasty dishes. Very fun and unforgattable.

Went into the town centre, on our way home from skiing in Switzerland. Very unusual town centre, situated high on a bluff, in a loop of the river. A lot of independent shops, cafes, restaurants. The transport system is also first class, and we had a city pass free from our hotel. Moving around town was simple.

Bern Old Town is a UNESCO site, and it's definitely worth a visit. It won't take much to visit as Bern is quite a small 'capital' city, you can easily manage to see most of it in a 2 hours' walk.

A really nice and peaceful town. Easy to walk around and get to the sights. Was a bit surprised to find the capital so quite compared to other major Swiss cities.

Discover why this city is UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LISTED. An absolute perfect example of what makes a truly great, charming and beautiful city. Cobblestone streets, winding pathways, emaculate stone architecture of the highest refined quality, unique basement stores that you walk into from the street, the astrological clocks, the statues of folklore, the epic cathedral and churches, the river, the...
