It was necessary to book this tour. English guides only available on Saturdays but we got by in French together with the excellent booklet we were given. Hear not just about the government of Switzerland but admire the artworks around

The Federal Building is only good for walking by. So if you head for the old town, you can pass here and take a look. The only interesting things are the building itself and the water play in front. Not worth to spend a lot...More

We didn't go inside the building but enjoyed this fountain on a warm summer day. It produces tall to short intermittent squirts of water, which kids were thoroughly entertained by. Our toddler had a blast running through it.

We enjoyed watching school children running through the fountains. There is a lovely view of the Aare River just behind the building.

Gorgeous interior! Waited in long line on Museumsnacht & was definitely worth it! We didn't get details in EN which would have been better but either way, it is a gorgeous building & really well-maintained.

Hi, is the courtyard or terrace behind the Parliament building (south side) accessible from the Bundesplatz side without going inside of the building? Is there any side passageway for it?

You don't have to go inside of the building to access the courtyard. It is outside and there are good restaurants around it. You can also go from behind the building to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Bern city.
