I think every city I had visited in Switzerland had a clock tower and this one we are talking about is located at the centre of the city in bern, easy accessibility since it was just near the tram station, the clock seemed to be ancient and had a rich ancient look but just that in my opinion, nothing much... The clock tower in the center of the city is one of the better known attractions to see in the center of town. It is located very centrally - so you will definitely walk by if strolling in the town center. We happened to cross it exactly at 11:55 - so a crowd and joined. 4 minutes before the hour... More

After reading all the reviews about this clock tower. We had to see it. And there we were waiting 10 to12 for the clocks to ring. And they did!!! But it was quite a disappointment. Our expectations were too high. The tower is beautyfull but there is no spectacle.

Got here around noon on a Monday with about two hundred other people, smart cameras waiting for that perfect social media moment and for the clock to go ding dong. It did. Couple of cute things happened on the clock itself, which may be an amazing feat of engineering for all I know, but I can say I was a... More

This is a great big clock tower that you can walk under. It serves as a good way to keep track of time while shopping in Bern.

The clock at the clock tower gives a very impressive show at noon. Different parts of this perform a show at noon that lasts several minutes. Bring your camera, especially if you have a zoom lens. Bern is a world heritage site as it has preserved the old world feel. Cobblestone streets with a minimum of car traffic. The big... More
