This is in the Medieval part of Bern, the Capital of Switzerland. You must hit the clock when it chimes as there is a show, with movement. This is on a cobblestone street with fountains in the middle of the street. There are shops under the arcade so it is a perfect place to spend a rain day. This is... More

It's not the Glockenspiel but it is a great looking clock, when it plays (~4 minutes before the hour) it lasts ~20 seconds so be ready. The clock tower is closed other than for organised guided tours. Still from the outside it is worth s visit.

This clock looks amazing. We've walked past it four times and each time my wife said "we have to come back when it rings". We arrived at 10 to the hour and crowds of tourists we're looking up. At 2.5 minutes to the hour the bears spin round at the bottom right and a jester rings a bell. Then on... More

At a few minutes before each hour, the clocke does a little show. It is a fun little thing if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but I would not go out of my way to to find it otherwise. It is a marvel to think that this thing still works after all of these years. Charming.

The beauty and complexity of the clock face and animated figures surrounding the clock face are amazing. On the hour, the figurines move but move so very little its not worth waiting a long time to see. Inside the arch underneath the clock tower, on the inner wall of the arch's tunnel is an interesting display showing the history of... More

Take an hour to see the „Zytglogge“ (Clock Tower) in the main street oft he old town. See at each full hour the puppets moving. Also you can view the old clockwork from inside, too. The clock was built in the 16th-century. The tour takes approx. 50 min.

Most people look at this building from the outside but it is definitely worth getting inside to see the 500 year old mechanism and to climb to the top to look out across the roof tops. some of the climb is steep it you want to get to the very top. Tickets are booked at tourist info, adjacent to the... More

It's a beautiful clock tower to check out and see. Very ornate and intricate. Worth a few minutes of your time to stop and see while touring the old town and on the way to the bear park.

This clock is located in the center of the Old Town section, and is neat to watch. The mechanism has many moving parts that can be viewed when the chime strikes on the hour, and always attracts a crowd.

This clock is very beautiful. It was built in the 15th century, and when gazing upon its hands, it is great to imagine all of the millions of people over the centuries who have looked to this clock to tell them time, one of them being the great Einstein, who lived right down the street. Unless we missed something, we... More
