About Free Walking Tours Basel
Join us on a Free Walking Tour through Basel, the famous city on the border of France and Germany. See the Tinguely Fountain, the Münsterplatz, the Rathaus, the Mittlere Brücke, the Spalentor and other sites along the way. Apart from finding out about Basel's history, we will be showing you our culture and give you inside tips. We're looking forward to seeing you! Meet us every Sunday at the Tinguely Fountain at 13:00 for the Downtown Tour. Check website/events on facebook for details on the other tours. No need to sign up, just show up! (Please send us an e-mail if you're a group of more than 8 people). A tour typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours. As the name says the tour is free but our guides gladly accept tips.

Great to hear the background of this beautiful city. It’s a shame there aren’t more tours across the week as we did this on our last day. Still, it was great to find out more about the city, it’s people, history & architecture.

Dear Ditza, we apologize wholeheartedly for the inconvenience. Apparently there was a misunderstanding about the meeting point for the Jewish Tour, which is the Synagogue (Leimenstrasse 24, 4051 Basel) as advertised on our website (http://www.freewalk.ch/basel/jewish-tour-basel.php). We are very sorry about that and hope you still...More

Anouk provided clear information and was always happy to take questions. The tour followed the historical structures of Basel’s history with relevant explanation. Great way to spend our first morning in Basel, we were treated to wonderful weather as well!

Nina was a great tourguide. She knows everything about her city and obviously loves it. I definitely recommend doing it, so you can see the city's most beautiful spots.
