The name 'spielzeug' made us think it would be all kind of toys, but it was mainly teddy bears and dolls and doll houses. This made it less interesting to us. Perhaps we wouldn't have gone if we knew this beforehand. We spent about an hour inside and it was okay but nothing special. Would only recommend if you've seen... More

In the best possible sense of it. I've seen a few toy museums in different parts of the world by never anything remotely close to the teddy bear collection presented here. There are THOUSANDS of bears of all possible kinds including the earliest ones (1900th). They are exhibited in such a variety of ways: families, skiing, school, bath, doctors and... More

It's quite nice museum, but not too many interesting things to do except watching toys behind the glass site. Nevertheless, they have a lot of seasonal exhibitions and the outside of the museum is always beautiful and interesting.

The permanent exhibition is just worth it if you're really into toys, and more specifically old teddy bears and miniature houses. However, the museum usually also houses temporary exhibitions on topics as varied as old advertising, paper umbrellas or Marilyn Monroe, so if you're around with an hour to spare, might be interesting to see what's on offer.

This was probably one of the most extensive toy museum I've visited. The miniatures section were very good and the detailed mini shops were incredibly intricate and fascinating. Highly recommended

You may miss other attractions in the city, but not this one. Pictures not allowed. 4 floors of vintage teddy bears and toys. On your must-see list.

The museum is over four floors and I can't imagine finding anything else like it in the world. The collection is massive, from teddy bears to doll houses to theme set shops. The painstaking workmanship is mind blowing, and while I was on overload after an hour my friend was still soaking it up for a further 45 mins. I... More
