I went here after a business trip ended and I had a few hours to kill before my flight. The place is very cool and welcoming plus the staff are very helpful and speak perfect English. There were many children there but I still got to appreciate the factory and even made my own paper. I recommend it to anyone... More

I visited here based on other reviews and really enjoyed it. It's definitely not your average museum and it was interesting to see how paper is made. I spent about an hour.

The kids loved making their own paper and doing a couple of other creative things, so I'd definitely recommend it. A very thorough collection of printing machines and memorabilia. Nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Apart from the artefacts on display, the most enjoyable part is the hands-on activities that you can do - especially you can create your own sheet of paper and take it as a souvenir!! kids love it (and also adults). The museum is located in a beautiful neighbourhood by the Rhine - overall a good experience.

Wend with my family few times. Often the museum has workshops where you can make paper or color paper. As a young adult I was very interested in printing and this was extraordinary experience to see all the types of printing presses and development of printing machinery. My children were fascinated with typewriters, as they have not seen these except... More

This is a truly lovely museum of papermaking and associated crafts. One gets the opportunity to make some paper; to design various artefacts and to do writing and using sealing wax. There is a great deal to see - ancient books etc, and as it is near the river, afterwards one can either walk along the promenade or can walk... More

We visited the Basel Paper Mill Museum during our brief trip to Basel and were so impressed that we wish we had had more time to spend there. The museum details the history of paper making, book making, writing, almost any and everything associated with paper. It is a wonderful museum for children and young people because almost every part... More
