This palace was the seat of power in Perugia. It is a very nice palace, but unfortunately there is no explanation, no guide and no staff. It could be exploited much better. Since you certainly pass by the center is worth an entrance (free)

I actually thought the outside of the building was cooler than the inside. It’s free entry and worth checking out. Big front terrace worth checking out with some really cool old door

It houses the National Gallery of Umbria, but also the free to visit Sala dei Notari, A chamber with painted coats of arms and beautiful wood beams, part of Perugian history. It also houses the Collegio della Mercanzia (paid entrance), it is beautiful, but I wouldn’t call it a must see, it is one room covered in beautiful wood paneling. Nothing more.

Perugia boasts the finer things in life but none more than this astounding architectural masterpiece... It's imposing to an inch of its medieval DNA. The interiors are gorgeous ranging from inlaid wood lining ceilings and walls, doorways that go back to 1346, sculptures and reliefs. I loved the fountain with styles merging reliefs from Byzantine, Classic and Medieval with enough biblical references to test anyone's knowledge. Allocate at least 4 hours to indulge in this wonderful arena.

This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Perugia on the advice of a local. It's a stunning ornate palace right in the heart of the Old town.
It's is beatiful outside but the interior chambers are just breathtaking. Such a beautiful historic building and well worth a visit.

Coming to the Palazzo Del Priori was a culturally intersting resting place. The Cathedral is beautiful and the steps offer a wonderful resting place from where to watch all the people walking around.

The main stage of the Jazz Festival was located here. You looked down each side to see seas of people. The Plaza is at the center of the city. Must see.

Beautiful open piazza with a large fountain in the middle. Has shops and restaurants on one side, a city museum on the other, and an amazing church with huge ceilings frescos and art work. (Church is free entry but you cannot wear tank tops, no shoulders showing, no cell phones out and no photography is allowed).
