Until you walk up to this point, you don't realize how a small town with no space lower down could have a piazza. The answer is they built many arches up high to support it. A great view can be seen from it and the impressive buildings around its edge are worth seeing also.

Unusual place surrounded with secular buildings for a chenge. Also that it is only surrounded by buildings on three sides leaving the last for the fabulous view.

Nice place to people watch, especially in the evening. Morning is nice for early light, but late morning and afternoon there's no shade.

With sweeping views over Gubbio and countryside the piazza offers a respite from narrow medieval streets. Take time to linger a while and absorb the views

Great place with amazing view! It's worth seeing in late afternoon when sun is not too strong. If you don't like walking there is an elevator!

A huge area with a good video you can sit, rest your feet and watch in language of choice - if you can work out how to get the machine going! With sweeping views over Gubbio and the valley on the south side, framed on the other three sides by wondrous palazzos, first and foremost Palazzo dei Consoli, if you're not yet in love you'll fall in love this time - with history, art and architecture, particularly if blessed by a magic June sky.

Absolutely stunning Piazza in the heart of one of Italy's most historic cities. Gubbio is a must visit location if you are in Tuscany.

A typically attractive Italian square. Only one little restaurant/bar, but plenty of others around. It' sgood to get the elevator up the hillside.

Lovely spot to get a vie. If you liked Don matteo you can go to have a coffee at the bar in the film.
