The museum combines several areas: 1. paintings and frescoes, 2. ancient and medieval objects, 3. religious relics and jewels, 4. the archaeological department. We could also see an exhibition of the paintings of Renzo Agostini (1906-1989). I suggest you buy a Gubbio card to get discounts in many museums and the 'Funivia' as well.

An interesting and well organised collection of mediaeval art, illustrating the influence of Giotto on his contemporaries.

The museum could be very interessant if you like religious painting but it’s not my case so I was a little disappointed. The building is beautiful and the people work there very sweet.

This Palace of the Canons was built between the 12th and 14th Centuries.
It rewards a visit as it has some interesting Etruscan work as well as outstanding medieval paintings, frescos and sculpture. This medieval monetary is also interesting for its courtyard and also its refectory where you can see the pulpit in the wall where the monks were read to during their meals.
