As we visited the church there was a party going next door. The dance music and the noisy youth disturbed for a bit our visit. But the church is worth visiting. An altar with a large hanging cross is taking your attention. But there's more to discover on and in the walls on the left side and right side.

Built circa 1250, the church has a single nave with the roof being supported by 8 impressive Gothic arches on the inside augmented by circular buttresses on the outside. There are several works of art to admire, but pride of place has to go to the late-Gothic frescoes by Ottaviano Nelli, the most impressive of which depicts episodes from the life of St Augustine. I note some previous reviewers complain that the frescoes aren't particularly well-preserved. Speaking as someone with absolutely no expertise in such matters - I thought that they were very impressive and well worth seeing.
