When .I travel from a small city train station or airport, I always worry about finding the proper plane or train Not so here. Very helpful people and well organized. Get here about one hour before the flight (at least before 7am) and you'll have no problems. i found they get traveller's concerns

The owner of the tourist station in Assisi went above and beyond to help my wife and I. We were put in a bad situation where we knew we were close to being robbed in the train station (but most likely the train). The owner took the time to help us figure out the situation and he decided a cab to Rome from Assisi was our safest bet. He spent 10 minutes arguing for us for a lower fare with a local cabbie. He did not ask for any money or even a review, but I feel like he deserves one. If ever in Assisi and you need tours, a ride, or local tips stop by here!

Fun, happy, kind, friendly staff member went out of his way three or four times to make our visit the best it could be. Great stop to start your Assisi experience, right at the train station.

I was travelling from Rome to Florence and I had the chance to meet in the station of Assisi Discovery which is an unbelievable place with unbelievable people that speak fluent English French Spanish and Portuguese . They helped me to visit the city and convince me to remain more days here in Assisi unforgettable beauty in the beauty of Italy.

i loved the small sized church compared to St Peters basilica. The gross opulence was not found here. Well worth the trip?

Located in the Assisi train station, these folks are the best! They will show you exactly what to do for the time that you are there and help you maximize your experience out of Assisi! They love running into travelers who speak English; Rebecca is very helpful!

Without a doubt this was the most welcome, kind and helpful place we visited in our travels through Italy. They are located at the train station and bus stop. The owners are from the US and so very kind. After getting off train from Rome and needing to take bus to Assisi they gave us excellent advice and "how to" advice. The next day when coming down from Assisi to go to San Damiano, they immediately noticed the time and said to hurry along to get to church before it closed for lunch. Which we did while they stored our luggage for a small fee. So grateful for this advice as we would have totally missed seeing the Portiuncula.

Their advice on a restaurant, Trattoria Santucci, was excellent. It still rates as the best pasta dish I ate on the entire trip. Very simple pasta with oilive oil, basil and garlic. Yum! While waiting for train to come, we visited with the owners who seem to truly enjoy what they do there. We wish them all the best and hope many more will seek them out when visiting Assisi.

Best Tourist Info!

We had a great time in Assisi, thanks in no small part to Jack and his wife, the owners of this place. Jack greeted us when we arrived, and was incredibly helpful to us. For example, when we told him that we were going into Perugia to pic up a rental car the next day, he explained that this was unnecessary. He got on the phone and cancelled our (expensive) reservation for us, and made all the arrangements for a rental car to be brought to us right there in Assisi -- and for MUCH less money. He explained the bus system, recommended restaurants, gave directions, and much else. Really, it was quite amazing, better than the best hotel concierge service -- and this from a free information center at the station! They are the nicest people. It really was unbelievable, like having friends or family in Assisi. We can't thank Jack and his wife enough for all they did for us, and for how welcome they made us feel. Thank you guys!

I have never been to Assisi. I did not know the town is about 15-20 minutes away by bus from the train station. I did not want to lug my luggages around, and found this unlikely Discovery Station offering "luggage service".

Jack and Helen are from the States. I was quite surprised and delighted when Jack welcomed me with detailed services from bus tickets down to walking suggestions.

I did not tried his exploratorium, but it was already quite remarkable by itself to meet such exceptional couple and their family.
