Two of Orvieto’s most delightful features are its warren of tunnels and caves beneath the historic center and its excellent red and white wines. We had a fascinating morning with Alessandra, exploring Assisi and learning about its history. It's such a beautiful place, and Alessandra made it come alive for us. The 'Umbria con me' attention to detail was superb, and booking lunch for us at a local restaurant afterwards was a lovely touch.…

I dont know if there are many tours to choose from in Assisi, but you dont need to look anymore, just book this one. This time in Italy we took a lot of guided tours and I can honestly say that Michele was one of the best guides we had ever encountered in Italy. Tour was informative, interesting and a pleasure to take part of. Highly recommended! Vytautas…

Even though we had spent previous several days in Rome with all of its highlights, still there were not many experiences that could match our Assisi tour. Our guide Alessandra had a deep knowledge about the city, its religious importance and history, and what’s really important could deliver it in a way that was interesting for us adults as well as our 6 and 9 years old children. Being a local she had also included many lesser known facts and was very flexible with the tour plan, should she noticed we could benefit in any particular piece of knowledge. We cannot recommend it highly enough - the tour was one of the pinnacles of our Italy vacations.…

This is another amazing part of this very ancient and amazing medieval city. The Duomo or cathedral was completed around1200AD. The colours of the marble on the outside are very striking and different. The inside is beautiful as you would imagine. the Duomo is surrounded by a large Piazza which makes the whole area very attractive. It costs nothing to go in and if in the area or visiting Orvieto this would be a must.…
