About
After over 20 years work experience as tour guides in central Italy and especially in Umbria and Tuscany our team decided to offer its knowledge and competence also as tour operator. Since many years we have offered personalized guide services in Italy to hundreds of people, travelling as individuals, couples or groups, introducing them to our spectacular landscape, our magnificent art cities, and to our wines, food and culture. Now we can provide you a complete tour in Italy from the accommodation to transport and other facilities you might need. During our tours we will follow a number of charming, interesting and evocative classical routes through Italy, exploring the best known Italian cities and towns. We can offer you also routes designed for discovering typical local wines, food and natural beauties. Some others are thought for those who like ancient churches, hermitages and abbeys.

Michele Tomasine has a way of making Saint Francis and Saint Clair come alive! Easy going, peaceful, and exemplifies the spirit of these wonderful Saints. My husband and I learned so much. Fantastic!

We only had one full day in Assisi and decided to book the small group walking tour through the Visit a City app. It was incredible! Michele (that's a guy, folks. Lol!) was our guide, and we could not have asked for better. We started at the top of Assisi, and over the next 3 hours slowly made our way to the Basilica of St. Francis at the bottom making stops at relevant sites along the way. Michele was very personable and knowledgeable. He answered every question we had and some we didn't even know we should have been asking. We absolutely cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

I dont know if there are many tours to choose from in Assisi, but you dont need to look anymore, just book this one. This time in Italy we took a lot of guided tours and I can honestly say that Michele was one of the best guides we had ever encountered in Italy. Tour was informative, interesting and a pleasure to take part of. Highly recommended!

I intended to book a different wine cellar. I thought I’d BOOKED a different wine cellar. But when we showed up at the other place, the host very politely told us we were in the wrong wine cellar and graciously sent us toward De Ricci. I was so disappointed because my husband had specifically wanted to tour that other one (after briefly stopping in on a previous trip to Montepulciano). We had a difficult time finding the right meeting spot, so my husband was becoming less and less enthused and I felt even worse about the mix-up. HOWEVER, once we happened into the right place, we were treated to a private tour with Rumina (sp?) as our guide. What an incredible experience. The cellars have a most interesting history (I won’t spoil the surprise). Rumina was a fabulous guide, who shared the history of the winery with enthusiasm and humour. Following the engaging tour, we went to the tasting room (which we had to ourselves) where we tasted three of their top wines (with very generous pours!) paired with a delicious Italian charcuterie board. What started out as a booking mistake ended up being a highlight of our trip! We highly recommend taking the time to tour this fabulous cellar.

Our tour with Katia was so memorable. She met us at the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi, and from there we covered the most important treasures of Assisi. Her knowledge and passionate regard for this special, holy place meant a lot to us, particularly since this was our first visit. She added insights that we couldn't have picked up in any tour books if we tried to do the visit on our own. There is lots of walking on uneven ground and steps - she was very considerate of the pace we could comfortably maintain, and as a result took extra time with us. Thank you!

Michele was a fantastic host. Brimming with knowledge and very accommodating to what we were interested in, he made the history of this beautiful town come alive, along with the wider history of Umbria. There was so much we learnt that we hadn't discovered from guide books or other sources. The underground caves were amazing, as was our private tour of the theatre and the walk along the outer wall, with its incredible view over the surrounding valley. A definite must-do for anyone visiting the area.

The tour and the local guide were wonderful. She was super knowledgeable, but not boring, and showed us the church, underground, and the town. Nothing negative about the tour, but a few tips about the town... #1 - The tour meeting place is uphill from the vernacular - make sure you have enough time or take the shuttle bus. #2 - The majority of the shops close between 1-4... I would peruse them first, do lunch, and then a tour. #3 - The people were not overly friendly. Only one store that I walked into acknowledged my presence. One actually looked at me, and turned and walked the other way. We stopped in the store with the Pinocchio nose chocolates after lunch, for espresso and chocolates, and they were noticeably rude to us. Very odd.

Hello , I booked a tasting tour through you for the 25th of May for Villa La Ripa in Arezzo for $75 (paid) & found out on the day of the tour that it was booked at another cantina in Montepulciano; thus, the tour was never made. Please explain the mix-up. Thank you in advance.

Dear Customer, maybe you are wrong. We have never received a booking for 3 people for May 25th and we do not collaborate with Villa La Ripa. We don't know what you booked, but definitely not our experience. Villa la Ripa is never indicated in the text and in the voucher, we do not understand the reason for this review. I hope you can delete this review as it does not concern us. Sincerely

Did the small group tour of Assisi. The tour was just okay. It wasn't overly informative, just generalized facts here and there. The tour guide was good at answering our questions but didn't get a lot out of it. They were also very nice but still wouldn't recommend this particular tour if you're looking for something really educational or informative.

We visited the weekend of St. Francis' birthday, so it was kind of a zoo even in early October. I'm bad w/ names, but our guide really shepherded us smartly and graciously. His knowledge of the artwork and history was A+. He's also sensitive to religious things for lack of a better word. Great data on local info and history and if he gets too caught up in the nerdy history/architecture things, just kindly let him know, he'll be responsive. Recommend 100% and I don't do that often.
