This retreat is not like any other you have ever done. I was one of 4 retreatants to spend a week with David Nowe & Linda O'Neill exploring the depths of peace, love and joy. It was the most fruitful and joyous retreat i have ever been on. The fact that it was held in Assisi-at a beautiful family hotel:... More

I spent Easter weekend and the following week at this beautiful retreat. Each morning and evening the retreat leader, Brenda, led meditation. Afternoons were free for exploring the sites of Assisi, walking, reading, writing, and enjoying this lovely place. My week here was truly peaceful and restorative and it is an experience I will not forget.

I was welcomed by Brenda, our retreat guide, and felt at home in this beautiful retreat center nestled in the countryside of Umbria. I spent my Holy Week this year in Assisi followed by Good Friday and Easter in Rome. The kitchen provided space to create some amazing meals, the fireplace provided warmth in the evening hours, my bedroom carried... More

This is by far the most sensual experience I have had in a long time. A beautiful house in the countryside of blushing Umbria, and under the gentle, competent guidance of two dear fellow humans, Brenda and David, I was brought me back to my inner self. I will never forget the blissful hours of meditation and the walks through... More

A lovely place to stroll and enjoy the nature and holiness of the site. The outdoor chapel is wonderful to stop and reflect.

A beautiful and serene space which provided me the simple peace I was looking for. I was welcomed by Brenda (the facilitator of the retreat) who was very warm, caring, wise and funny! The place is located in the midst of the breathtaking Umbrian mountains. The house was cute, well-maintained and comfortable. I appreciated the fact that there were only... More

This is a short drive from Assisi, and taxis are available. It's a gorgeous mountain retreat that is a welcome respite. Well worth the time away from Assisi, despite the city's gorgeous nature.

I note that most of the reviews here are positive, but I am afraid my experience at the retreat did not meet my expectations. This retreat is really a "lite" version of others which are on offer. There are essential two 50 minute sessions of sitting meditation and a yoga session each day. During the afternoon, guests are free to... More

There are many valid points in this review and are noted. Our point with this guest is that each participant creates their own experience. For example, while someone else was out shopping, he clearly had opportunity to go visit and meditate for many hours each day in Assisi in the tomb of St. Francis and other sacred places. We do... Visiting the retreat/Hemitage of St Francis, is a treat. The walking is a little steep and the Hemitage itself is quite tiny as I suppose the people were in the 1500's. There is a path with bronze sculptures of monks in different poses of contemplation that are very life like. We visited on a light rainy day and it did... More

This is such a special retreat center. I have been on many retreats over the years, but I can honestly say this is extraordinary - such a special magical place. Linda and David who run the place are two of the most lovely, kind, genuine, and generous hearted people I have ever met. I ended up staying for two weeks... More
