If you don't pay attention roaming aroud Porta Camollia (where Siena opens his ancient walls to travellers who come from Florence, as it used to be, when people crossed Tuscany on foot, bound to Rome) you could miss Lorenzo Scarpini little workshop windows. That's a pity because it is definitely not common at all to see nowadays a true tailor at work. He is generally perched over his working table, sewing amazing suits. If you're lucky, you can see some wonderful jacket on a dummy, still with its stiching in place. Lorenzo is very agreeable, and even if he doesn't speak a word of English, you can enjoy his wokshop looking him at work. not a every day experience!
