We had wonderful trip through Italy with several private tours. Stella was the best. knowledgable and entertaining, but what made her special was she listened to what we liked and wanted to see and adapted the tour to us. perfect. We can tell she does that all the time.

Our group consisted of 7 people with ages ranging from 7 to 69. We all got a lot out of our tour with Stella. Her local insights, explanation about the Palio and the contradas and her historical knowledge were fantastic. Our 2 hour tour flew by very quickly. She certainly made the city come alive for us.

Our family of four with two kids ages 7 and 10 spent the morning with Stella. She was great. Very informative and enjoyable. She got my girls very interested in the Palio. She also taught us a lot about the town of Siena. We were originally planned for two hour tour. But since we were doing so great I asked her to stay for an hour longer. Great guide!

thank you very much! it was a pleasure to work with you and your students, they loved Siena masterpieces and the Accademia Musicale Italiana was one of our highlights! hopefully next year I can partecipate to their performances!

This was our second visit to Sienna, but the first time we took an official tour, and we are so glad we did! Stella provided so much insight about and passion for her city of Sienna. Her knowledge of the history and culture was extensive, but more importantly, she was able to share that with us in a friendly, accessible manner. We especially enjoyed learning about the palio and the contrada. Stella also graciously made us a lunch reservation at Osteria Le Logge, which did not disappoint. Stella made our visit to Sienna memorable!

We had an excellent tour with Alessia. She did a wonderful job explaining Siena's history (particularly its 17 neighborhoods and the Palio) to my family and children. She was great with my kids. She was born in Siena and we felt like we were with an insider. She took us to her favorite pizza and gelato places.

Stella was recommended by our B&B and she was an outstanding guide. The 2 of us wanted a tour that would explore some of the unusual aspects of Siena, not just the tourist areas. What a couple of great hidden gems we would never have thought to visit...the archives and a artist, Marco Caratello who works in a tiny studio creating work using old world methods including the cooking of chicken bones as a glue. Fascinating. Stella will introduce you to the history of Siena and guide you through the various museums and points of interest. I'd highly recommend Stella.

Stella conducted a half-day tour of Siena for our group of 4. She was highly intelligent, and presented the information in an eloquent, entertaining manner. She took us several places off the beaten path, and expertly wove her ancestry and personal experiences into our time with her. I highly recommend her!!!

Walking around Siena with Stella is like being a local. Stella grew up there, knows the history ancient and modern of Siena. She takes you back in time and tells you current stories. I can't praise Stella too much. She is enthusiastic and easy to understand. Just looking at a building, a painting or a flag is one thing, but hearing about its significance in historical terms makes traveling a much deeper experience.
