Glad because this church is open to the public and entry is free. The choir of this church is very pretty to see with its three sculptures. For the facade we can see 4 columns and above a trabeated tympanum. Nice place of prayer and well loved

This church dates from the 12th century and at one point was an important meeting place for the Council of the Republic of Siena.

The Church was badly damaged in the 1798 earthquake and the current facade dates from 1800. The interior is fairly modest with the brickwork at the back looking as though it was part of the original church. There are no frescoes to speak of but some paintings that are difficult to view given it is so dark. There is though a lovely stained glass window of St Christopher which is behind a very large marble statue of a group of people representing the Glory of St Christopher which dominates the altar.

This also appears to be the church of the Civetta Contrada.

This church looks really old. It’s a smaller church. It’s not on a scale of other European churches. But it also only takes a couple of minutes to look at.

Piazza Tolomei. In this square we can admire the palace of the noble Tolomei, a powerful family of the city of Siena and in front of the palace you can enjoy the beauty of the church of San Cristoforo to visit internally. In the square begin some streets such as Via Del Moro, Via Cecco Angiolieri, Via Calzoleria, which leads to Piazza del Campo. Lost in Piazza Tolomei from via Banchi di Sopra. In front of the Tolomei palace we can see a column with a she-wolf nursing two children called Remus and Romulus. Walking through Siena is a place to visit. Around the square you can find refreshments and other various services. Highly recommended

A very nice little church not from the Duomo, an therefore often overlooked. Especially nice is the carved wooden statue of Padre Pio, Italy's most famous modern saint, hearing confessions.

The church contains brick around the altar with a pretty statue in front of (and blocking) a beautiful stained glass window of St. Christopher. The church contains paintings and other statues, but for the most part is somewhat plain.

Italy is filled with ornate churches and Siena houses one of the most spectacular in the Duomo. This church dates back to the 13th century but was largely rebuilt following damage caused by an earthquake in the 18th century. As such, it’s incredibly plain and does not have the wow factor of other churches in the region. Then again, it is a smaller church dedicated to St Christopher. The facade does have some beautiful sculptures

It's another pretty church with an interesting exterior with its large columns in the front. Several sculptures grace the front as well. The architecture is different from many other churches in the area which made it worth seeing for me.

This church is located on a pretty piazza and is just off the main pedestrian street. In a country of so many churches, some spectacular and some plain, this falls into the rather plain category. Nevertheless, the facade is classical and flanked by some impressive marble statues. The interior features a beautiful marble sculpture of St. Christopher. I would probably not travel out of my way to see this church, but definitely worth a look if you are passing by!

Pleasant, ancient church in Piazza Tolomei.

Around a five-minute stroll from Piazza del Campo

A "secondary sight" but well worth a look if you're passing by.
