This is a real old building that belonged to someone real rich in the past. It’s in a small square and across from a small church.

This Palazzo was originally built in the early 13th century then destroyed and rebuilt between 1270 and 1275, making it one of the oldest buildings in Siena. It was largely restored in the 1960's. The Palazzo was originally the home of the very wealthy Tolomei family whose interest included banking so it is probably appropriate that the Palazzo is now occupied by a bank, the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.
The Palazzo is located in the square of the same name which is on the Via Banchi di Sopra. one of the main streets through the centre of Siena. The building is unusual in that it's stone facade has three storeys of different heights which are separated by stone cord motives. The highest storey is the ground floor that also has a massive arched central portal with two smaller arched portals on either side. The middle and upper storeys each have five biform windows with three-eyed ogival arches on top of each one.
Unfortunately, unless you are doing your banking, you are unable to enter this Palazzo.

Tolomei are one of the old families of Siena and this is one of the oldest buildings. I don't think that you are able to visit inside as it is now a bank.
Still, very historic and nice to have a look.

Pleasant square that contains the San Cristoforo church and the Istituto Bancario Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze historical building.
About a 5-minute walk from the main square
Not the most important place to see in Siena, but well worth having a look at if you're in the area.

The Palazzo Tolomei is one of the oldest buildings in Siena dating to the early 12th century. It's austere stone facade, elegant in its simplicity, displays the Tolomei family coat of arms above the entrance door. The Tolomei palace faces the eponymous piazza with a column with the she-wolf. Banca CR Firenze occupies the ground floor.

The square is dominated by a palace that cannot be visited but which has the advantage of being the oldest palace of Siena dated from the beginning 13th century.

It is a palace but it cannot be visited. In front of it, we can see a statue which represents the symbol of the birth of Rome. Very pretty to see
