The coach ride from Florence to Siena was worth it, with all the stunning views of the countryside. Going around Piazza del Campo, you'll admire the old buildings & structures and get to have the feel of the history. The Tuscan lunch at Chianti vineyard was a great experience too! It was a very filling & tastefully prepared lunch of... More

We had the most wonderful experience and our guide was outstanding. He took us on a walk through the Tuscan vineyards and olive groves. Along the way we stopped at a local vineyard where our guide Gianni had set a visit for us to taste the local Chianti wine. Then he had booked a pasta cooking class with a local restaurant... More

Each of our 6 day trip (seven grade 6-11 grade students and two teachers) was filled with beautiful hikes and learning interesting scientific, cultural and artistic information and insights provided by Gianni Stanghellini and his colleagues. He generously invited us all into his home to make pasta from scratch. He performed a very memorable and unexpected solo flute concert for... More

I had a marvelous time on this trip. Our guide, Gianni, provided gorgeous walks and unique experiences with local organic producers of wine, produce, cheese, and olive oil. Definitely experiences I couldn't have had without his guidance and that helped me to appreciate what makes this region unique. Gianni is knowledgeable and expended every effort to ensure that our trip... More

Dear Anne, the last October Group Tour was clearly a success. It's exactly when I saw people crying on the farewell day that I realized things went great. Thank you for bringing your enthusiasm to the group. I hope to see you in the future on another walking trip in Italy. Gianni, owner at Walk About Tuscany More

We decided to take 2 days of our week long Tuscany holiday and dedicate them to doing walking tours with Walk About Tuscany with Gianni. I thought it would give us a real opportunity to see the real Tuscany away from the more touristy areas and we weren't disappointed.
