We had a fantastic time. The wine was delicious and generous. Caterina had good English and the setting was stunning, we looked out over the vineyard in dappled shade and felt in heaven. AND there were three gorgeous dogs who came and sat with us (we encouraged this, I'm sure they would remove them if you wanted that) but it all just gave it such a lovely, relaxed, homely feel. It felt the opposite of 'commercial' or 'big business' - a lovely, cute, family-run business in a stunning setting.
We loved the wine and came away a fair few bottles!
Highly recommended

We visited the farm/winery for a tour and pizza making class. Filipo taught our kids how to make home made pizza dough and cook it in the wood fired oven. They loved it! And we loved sitting and relaxing and tasting their small batch wines. Amazing. You should definitely put this stop on your itinerary!

We visited while on a private tour of the area and had a wonderful time from start to finish. When the family dogs greet you with a "smile" and a wag of the tail you know you're in a great place! Flavia is the 4th generation of her family to run this estate and she and her winemaker husband Francesco immediately made us feel welcome and showed us around. Their love of wine-making and of the estate in particular is evident. Everywhere you look there are cute little touches and the property is immaculately maintained. We enjoyed a leisurely wine tasting while eating a delicious lunch of local fare. As this is the San Gimignano area they specialise in white wine and are fully certified.

After a sumptuous meal at Cum Quibis, where we had consumed a bottle of CappellaSantAndrea Rialto wine, we had to see the vineyard. We drove (in a very roundabout way cause our GPS was also potted) to the vineyard and were greeted by three dogs and Francesco, the owner. With him was a young American woman who was helping him learn English (his English was great). The wine tasting room is crammed with interesting items from his wife's gran father who originally owned the Vineyard. We did noty take a tour, but instead ordered a case of wine to be shipped home. What a nice place!

My husband and I visited Italy in November and didn’t realize that some of the vineyards/ winery’s would be closed for the season. We called Capella Sant’Andrea and they immediately welcomed us to visit. We were the only visitors that day and we enjoyed an excellent tour! It is a small, family owned business in the heart of tuscany but with a surprise twist... this small area is know for its white wines rather than the more prevalent Tuscan reds. I’m a red wine person, but the white wines at Capella Sant’Andrea were delicious! We ordered both reds and whites and even a couple of bottles of their own delicious olive oil which were delivered to our home in the US. I would highly recommend a visit to this charming vineyard.

We visited Capella Sant'Andrea on a wine tour. We were welcomed by Flavia (and two of their three dogs), who introduced us not just to their grapes, but their soil. Indeed, the passion Flavia and Francesco have for their land is palpable and it shows through in their intentional treatment of the soil in which their vines grow.
It also shines in their wine. Capella Sant'Andrea features their whites, which are excellent, but even their reds are daring and exciting. My spouse and I were particularly enchanted by the stories woven into each wine; tasting with Flavia felt like an introduction to their family and their family's relationship to the land.
Many wine tastings will introduce you to excellent wines--particularly throughout Tuscany--but very few will invite you into a web of history with each sip.

Flavia took us around the property and we toured the vineyards and the wine cellars. The property is absolutely amazing with gorgeous views. We did a wine tasting and they were all delicious. We bought a couple of bottles but sadly they were so good we finished them before we even left Florence.

We spent an afternoon doing lunch with wine tasting at this small family run organic winery and it was fun and delicious. We sampled wines paired with local meats and cheeses, followed with fresh pasta. Speciality wine is a white made only in this region.

This was our third visit to Tuscany and after having focused so much on the excellent red wines it was an unexpected delight to find this gem. A beautiful organic and sustainable vineyard run by a family whose love and dedication for what they are doing shows and who produces a truly delicious white wine (Vernaccia di San Gimignano) in the heart of red wine producing area. Be sure to try the Vernaccia which has been aged in terracotta pots - distinctive and delicious. Thank you Flavia and Francesco for what you are doing. A credit to Flavia's grandfather and a legacy for your daughter.

Flavia and Francesco are passionate about creating excellent organic wines. This was actually the highlight of our trip to Florence and Tuscany. There is just something about them that is so generous, so authentic, so passionate, that it is a pleasure to experience their world for an hour or two. Flavia showed us around the vineyard and the wine production area, carefully explaining their very specific process for creating the best organic wines, in a winery started by her grandfather. They appreciate and understand the systemic nature of organic farming and keep animals as part of the natural process. Using the traditional methods of Flavia's grandfather the way they age and ferment the wine is much more risky than larger more commercial wineries. But it use produces a very special collection of wines. We bought a case and had it shipped home--can't wait to receive it here in San Diego. What an experience--words cannot really express how special this place is--if you have a chance to visit, you won't regret it.

This winery sounds lovely! How far in advance did you make reservations and how much did the tasting cost? Was there any food included? Thank you!
