I had a great day at Katia's cooking school, less than ten minutes out of San Giminiano. We made fresh pasta, two types, and Katia told us so many tips about cooking fresh healthy Italian food. We made two types of bruschetta plus veal saltimbucca, finishing with a healthy delicious tiramisu. We were a group of six altogether and Katia... More

Katia's knowledge of how to cook, source, present and eat Italian food and pass that genuine love of the product onto you in a cosy, unpretentious and divine Tuscan setting is fabulous. She made everyone feel a part of the group, firmly coached us to do it right and explained the 'why' for every step. Matching the wines perfectly and... More

We had planned our week and a 1/2 vacation to Italy with our 14 year old daughter and were looking for something to do while passing through Tuscany. The idea of a cooking class came up. After doing a quick search I came across Il Vicario and Katia's and Fulvios cooking class. Having many busy days planned from Venice to... More

Katia hosted a cooking class for my husband and I who are on our honeymoon. She was immediately warm and funny and put us at ease in her company. I understand a little Italian and when Katia worked this out she spoke slowly and clearly so as to allow me to hone my language skills along with my cooking skills.... More

What a delight! The people, "Katia & Fulvio" were amazing, so helpful & informative, we felt like family! The food was fun to make and so delicious to eat, the location and home was perfect, a slice of heaven on earth! We were provided with recipe booklets of everything Katia taught us to make! Our niece said it was one... More

First off we got lost and the owner came to where we were and let us follow her. Our class was 7 people. The instructor was easy to understand and so much fun. I felt very much at home. We made everything we ate including a pasta. We all were able to participate in all the cooking. After all the... More

As everyone else has said, Katia gave us a great experience and actually made cooking fun for the novice chef. She taught us how to make simple food that is actually made in Tuscan homes and why to use and or avoid certain ingredients. What a great experience. It was also fun meeting the other two couples who joined us... More

Getting away from the tourist centre of San Gimignano we spent a wonderful day with Katia learning secrets to good Tuscan cooking. Set in her 13th century house the class covers the basics as well as technique. Our menu included bruschetta, pasta with egg and without, Tuscan salad of tomatoes and bread and rabbit in wine and tomato sugo. Delicious... More

Katia & Fulvio made us very welcome at Il Vicario, a hidden gem of a B&B and cooking school near to San Gimignano in Tuscany. Their relaxed style put us at ease immediately. Katia is a good teacher, she imparts lots of information along the way that helped us to understand not just the mechanics of the cooking but it's... More

We have taken too long to write this review! We attended the cooking class in May and loved every second of it! We learned not only many recipes (we were just making one which reminded us to write this review) to make, but also techniques and alternative recipe ideas. We have already used our skills of pasta making and taught... More
