If you want to see the city, you have to go on the rocca. Great view. And great walk to get there. A quieter place. Go there early.

There isn't a whole lot left of this castle and it's a hike to get up to it. But the views of the surrounding countryside are something else. You can also get a good view of the cliff the town is situated on and the...More

Tucked away in a corner of the town, it's funny how many people miss this place. I can't blame them though as it's a bit tricky to find it and actually just found it by chance while wandering around. Once you find the small park...More

this is the highest point of San Gimignano City Center, I can suggest it because, from there, it's possible to see all San Gimignano City with all around many different country areas.

When you arrive in San Gimignano walk to the Rocca which is a small fortress dismantled in the 16 century, with a garden ,positioned on a hill. The interesting part is to admire the panorama of the village and the surrounding area .

Lots of olive and fruit trees, quiet apart from a harp player, was beautiful and views almost as good as the 5 euro tower. A must visit.
