It was the end of a long day, we were headed home from San Gimignano and happened upon the sign for oil/wine. We turned in, the place was closed. Luckily Fausto was still on property and he treated us to a tasting of their fabulous wines and the to-die-for olive oil. The estate is beautiful with small cottages, a pool... More

We booked a wine tasting and tour. The tour was limited to the cellar due to miserable weather, but i found it quite interesting. Lunch was simple but tasty. They produce (and serve) 3 wines. I thought the price was very fair. All in all i would recommend it to others looking for a small insight into to the wine... More

We were in Tuscany for just a few days and wanted to do a winery tour. This was the perfect stop. Beautiful, easy to get to and was so informative and the lunch was perfect. The number of people on the tour is limited so you can get your questions answered, it doesn't feel crowded and you get to meet... More

My wife and I visited the estate during a short trip. The location Is beautiful and the views even more so. Barbara showed us around the estate and explained the wine and oil making process. The estate only sells the wine and oil it produces directly from the winery. Everything was amazing and we really enjoyed every second of it.... More

My family reserved a wine tour and lunch at Sovestro in Poggio early on this year without any other information than just reading various reviews about the tour and the place. We finally made it to the event and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. In fact, it was one of the best experiences we had during our vacation in Tuscany. We... More

We took a relaxing stroll from San Gimignano to the vineyard and were treated to a good insight into wine and olive oil production followed by a tasty lunch with the opportunity to try some of the wines. This was one of the highlights of our holiday and an excellent way to round it off.

We stopped for the Wine tasting tour and it turn out to be one of the few rainy days in Tuscany but they manage to keep it interesting. The tasting area was more like a dining-room were you feel like home. The tapas & wine pairing were delicious, we had a typical dish from the Chianti region and bruschetta. Also... More

My husband and I had a tour at this winery in September. It has stunning views (like so many other areas of Tuscany). Fausto was very nice and provided good information on the tour. We also got to sample one of the grapes. The food with the tasting was outstanding and they were very willing to accommodate us as we... More

Very personal and engaging cooking class for 12+. My daughters loved it, as well as my wife and I. Fausto and famiglia were so helpful and charming. All the dishes you make are easily attainable and require bo weird or special ingredients or equipment. We ended up spending from 1100 to well past 1700 making dishes and eating, snd then... More

My friend and I were visiting Italy for the first time and looking forward to eating our way through Tuscany. We searched hi and low to find an authentic cooking class outside of city and among the hills of Tuscany. We were extremely lucky when we found that at Sovestro in Poggio with the charming Susanna and Fausto. We made... More
