As a part of a ship's tour to San Gimignano, we had lunch at Fattoria San Donato. They called it a "light Tuscan" lunch. It started with a farro salad, olives and peppers, antipasti vegetables and bread, with and without olive oil. The next course was cheeses, ricotta, blue and peccarino. The next course was salami and prosciutto. The last... More

We visited with a group, and were treated to a lunch sampling of local food and wine they produce themselves. It is a complex of buildings which was once a small village which had fallen into ruin. The current owner's grandfather started the restoration process, and now it is a working far, winery, and bed & breakfast. We bought both... More

I have been here twice. Both times as an escort for a group of students. The owners have given us a tour both times and shown us around this working farm. As an agriturismo they have done well sharing their life with those who visit. They have laid out a fantastic spread both times with lots of food and choice... More

We decided to visit a few of the local wineries instead of doing a tour to some of the bigger wineries in Chianti. We samples some lovely wineries and the hostess/owner was very kind and gracious. We picked up a couple of bottles to have in our hotel and brought one home as the name on it was the same... More

We were passing through, not sure where we were headed next and stopped to taste the wines. They were lovely and excellent value at €6 a bottle - for the chianti, vernaccia and rose. I'd recommend picking up a few bottles if you are around here. It's a really pretty little village/hamlet and when we found out they had a... More

Tucked away amongst the green hills of San Gimignano we really enjoyed our short stop over in this scenic Farmhouse. Owned by the Fenzi family this is an organic farm and winery. We were shown around the winery and the process of wine making was explained by the every helpful Mr. Umberto Fenzi. Wine tasting was the best part of... More

We stopped here while on a tour in Tuscany and it turned out to be the highlight of the tour. Frederica and her staff had prepared a wonderful organic, fresh "farm lunch" for us.The foods, wine, and olive oil all came from the estate. Frederica spent some time with us explaining the foods and recipes, and also about wine making... More
