    Just wonderful!
I was just there with my group of travelers (29) very recently (about a wk ago). They couldn't do enough for us. The family and staff were so sweet and kind. The wine was delicious AND they ship! I also got olive oil as well. The grounds were just beautiful. I would definitely love to return for their cooking classes or to stay at the bed and breakfast. Beautiful setting and lovely people!

    Wonderful authentic Tuscan experience
At the recommendation of a friend, we booked a lunch at this vineyard. We weren't sure what to expect. The spread they provided was beautiful and delicious and included local specialties and food from their garden. For the four of us, there were 3 excellent cheeses to sample, a farro dish, delicious bread (with lavender jam and saffron honey - both of which they made), fresh figs, marinated (pickled?) onions and mushrooms, and a typical plate of meats. Then we had a pasta course (Picci with tomato sauce - delicious) and then chicken in a saffron sauce. It was a FEAST! Plus numerous wines accompanied the meal. The staff was delightful, interesting and a highlight of our visit. The only thing that could have enhanced this wonderful experience would have been a tour of the winery and olive oil-making facilities.

    The real Tuscan feeling.
The staff and owners were amazing they made you feel like family. Fredrica and Umberto were the owners and did an amazing job to make sure your visit in Tuscany was well planned. They would answer any questions you had and always made sure you had time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. All the rooms were different and had a beautiful Tuscan feeling when you walked through the door. We picked up several cards and passing them around, if we enjoyed it I know everyone else will. Don't forget to sign up for the cooking class, and book a supper ahead of time. You will get a real feast. Thank you Fredrica and Umberto for you hospitality and your positive smiles that greet us everyday.

    Quintessential Tuscany!
Visited with a group of six for lunch and wine tasting. The experience was exceptional. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They explained what we were having for lunch and what wines we should sample while we were enjoying our meal. We were quite content with the food and wine that was on our table. It was fabulous. But wait, there's more! Out comes the pasta and the best sausage I have ever had. (Sweet sausage marinated in wine) More wine to sample, all wonderful. Off to the vineyard store to purchase a few bottles to send home.

The place is very nice, and both breakfast and dinner were superb. However we expected more from the rooms, which are very basic. Location is nice and convenient to explore this side of Tuscany. Visit of the winery was included but only offered when checking out. Maybe our expectations were just too high, or it’s just that the weather was not nice.

Fattoria San Donatto is a farmhouse located near San Gimignano, a wonderful medieval town in Tuscany Region, in the center of Italy. I could taste the oil from here and really it is very good. In fact I bought a bottle and I am still enjoying it in my house.

We went to this winery as an excursion on a Viking Cruise. We went straight from San Gimignano to have dinner and wine. It was in March so we didn't have the color as it appears in the pictures, but the food was wonderful and the wine is superb. We want to come back and visit longer. Great Experience.

This is a treat that must not be missed. Roberto, the owner wine maker is a fabulous host and a talented wine maker. I have never felt more at home, this is a wine tasting experience that Napa, a place close to my home and near to my heart, can only dream of. Do not miss their wine, their food and most of all, their people.

We visited with a group, and were treated to a lunch sampling of local food and wine they produce themselves. It is a complex of buildings which was once a small village which had fallen into ruin. The current owner's grandfather started the restoration process, and now it is a working far, winery, and bed & breakfast. We bought both a red and white wine which are excellent. We also checked out several of the bedrooms with the idea that one day we should love to come and stay for several days. It would be a great spot from which to explore Tuscany!

We went there following the recommendation of another local restaurant.
The location is wonderful and so are the wines.
We also received a short tour of the "Cantina" (production facility) & old cellar.
The location is wonderful!
Totally recommended!

As a part of a ship's tour to San Gimignano, we had lunch at Fattoria San Donato. They called it a "light Tuscan" lunch. It started with a farro salad, olives and peppers, antipasti vegetables and bread, with and without olive oil. The next course was cheeses, ricotta, blue and peccarino. The next course was salami and prosciutto. The last course was biscotti like biscuits to dip in the sweet wine. All of this was accompanied by red and white wine.

The farm is fully organic and they make their own wine and olive oil
