It was an excellent walk. There is information at every step. By walking on the wall of Pisa, you end up to discover more of the city, not just the leaning tower.

5 stars for the section near the tower, really amazing views and we were the only people on the walls. 2 stars for the section after the Campo. Boring and took us through housing estates, nothing interesting at all. What a waste of time! Is...More

We climbed the walls (3 euros per person) to get a different view of the square and the leaning tower. It was worth it for that alone. It was also a bit cooler in the breeze up there. We decided to walk the full length...More

one of the entrances to this is near the Battistero, right in the corner of the grass area. You get great views of the main buildings and if you walk down the wall towards the river you get great alternative views of the tower through...More

If you want to get a different view of the Leaning Tower and other buildings on Piazza Miracoli I would highly recommend a trip up the city walls (mura). A bargain for €3. We didn't do the full route, as we are all really only...More

I don't think it was an option to walk the city walls, last time I visited Pisa. In fact I was barely aware of them. However, if you walk to one corner of the main Piazza, close to the baptistery, there is an office where...More

The entrance is hidden behind the left hand side of Camposanto. Hardly anyone was walking the walls and some of the best views of the Miracoli complex could be seen from the walls. We walked the whole length of the walls - around 2 miles...More

Took some time to find the start location but once found a really nice high level walk along the walls surrounding the top half of the city. The path is in very good condition and lift access is available if needed. You can see all...More

Not easy to find the entrance to the walls,in the corner of Piazza dei Miracoli.Really good value at 3 Euros. The great thing the walls offer is an escape from the crowds milling around the Tower,Cathedral and Baptistery and the great views of all three. And up...More

When we arrived in Pisa we had a brief stroll before our evening meal. I noticed what seemed to be a raised walkway in places and found out that part of the ancient walls were open to the public. The easiest way to get started...More
