You got children with you and they get bored? You want to escape some mid-day heat? You want to prove that Pisa is not all about Piazza dei Miracoli? Then take an evasive action from the usual crowds and come here for an hour or so. In other case - just take one star from the rating.

Walked to this garden from hotel and it is a great peaceful place. Not huge but there are some great spots in the park for history lovers

When we visited Pisa it was about 32°C outside, and this lovely garden provided some well needed shade and was a charming place to take a walk in. There were lots of benches and some pick-nick tables in the shade. Bring your food and drinks, no drinks for sale there

Came across this little park as we followed a walk around Pisa. Doubt we would have come across it otherwise as it is on the south bank of the river a little way from the centre. Lots of lovely shade, old walls and ruins. We think it was intended to be the gardens of a Medici summer residence. Play area... More

As you can tell from the number of reviews this is not on the list to see by coach tours and maybe that is why you should go. It is quite, green and a great place for a picnic or just a stroll away from the crowds.

Great playground in use by local kids. Otherwise pretty ordinary, but nice to rest in a green space.

With its distinctive history, Giardino Scotto is a great place for walks and relaxation. This place is full of the old-time spirit, when people built massive stone walls for protection, behind the wall there is a beautiful park with small alleys and well-groomed trees that help especially during walks on hot July days.

Somewhere to break the focus on just the main features of Pisa. Some shade from the increasing summer heat & very interesting architecture too.

We wandered through this park on our visit to Pisa. Everywhere was very dry due to the extreme heat of the past few weeks. I was surprised that there was no obvious form of sprinkler system in use to keep the place well irrigated. There are signs around to say there is free wifi but we were unable to connect.... More
