The wide square open to the river Arno is dominated by the marble statue of Ferdinando I de Medici, designed by Giambologna and made by Pietro Francavilla. There are also some nice buildings and palaces around the square, most of them built in the 16th century.

The place is small and there are no explanations

In fact this square is mainly dominated by the statue of Ferdinando I de' Medici. You can see some pretty buildings there. Too bad there are no explanations in this place.
