Unfortunately, the building has lost its original importance and purpose. Now it seems that it is not used as much as it could be.

A covered open space built at the beginning of the 17th century to provide shelter for the wool and silk marked. Not to interesting to look at, but you'll probably pass it and it is good to know what you look at.

Just beyond the Ponte di Mezzo, on the south bank of the Arno, you can see this white building with elegant architecture. Built in the seventeenth century, the loggias were intended to house the wool and silk market and even today you can see stalls there. In the twentieth century they were also saved at the base of public bathrooms which, once restored, are accessible.
