The old town of Lucca is very clean and many streets don't allow cars, so very nice to walk the streets and shop. But the highlight was bike riding around the city on top of the walls. The walls are over 50 meters wide, and there's a very nice path to ride on. There are a few small grades to... More

I rented a Willier GTR from Paolo, this week and enjoyed some excellent rides in the area of Montecatini / Volterra. Bike was excellent, I had a small problem which was quickly and efficiently dealt with - Replacement bike was delivered. I also enjoyed a guided 90/100km ride with Luis, he was an excellent guide with good English. He showed... More

We took a guided bike tour from Lucca to Pisa that was supposed to take 3-3.5 hours, but ended up taking six hours due to having to stop to change flat tires. Our group had 7 people plus the guide, and we got three flat tires along the way, each of which took around 45 minutes to replace. The tour... More

Ciao Meredith thanks for your review. First of all, to be precise for coming guests, the tour to Pisa usually starts at 9.30 to be in Pisa at 1.00/1.30 pm (as written in the website), so from 3,5 to 4 hours if you go to a normal pace, because it is only 34 km (about 21 miles) and on plain,... On a recent trip to Italy one of our group (two families with four teenagers) had biking as a "must do" activity. We signed up for the Lucca and the Organic Farm tour. I spoke to the team and told them that our group was interested in doing a longer and more challenging ride than was advertised and they were... More

We booked a guided tour on bikes. Nice bikes and a wonderful guide. We toured the city, including much of the wall, and then headed out into the country. After a pretty long ride we reached an organic farm where we toured the farm and their winery. Then we had a wonderful lunch of local organic food and their wines.... More

We rented the city bikes for the day. The bikes were well maintained. The owner was very helpful and provided excellent friendly services. We also found out that they have many day tours through their informative website.

We had a group of 17. We were fitted with bikes, given water bottles and started on the wall in Lucca, and then onward to Pisa. We stopped for a break (brunch?) along the way. We had all different rider capabilities and none of us were disappointed. We had a guide in front and one in the rear to make... More

We took the tour from Lucca to Pisa today and it was fantastic. The track is very flat but most importantly very scenic. My father in-law is in his early 70's and reasonably fit and managed to complete the tour and enjoy a few beers afterwords. If you like beautiful scenery whilst getting exercise this is the perfect tour.

This isn't a tough ride if you do some normal physical exercise. There are some parts with some good size hills and some gravel pathways to be careful of. The longer part of the ride is getting to the winery, so after you wine taste it's an easy ride back. The winery is delightful! We loved the wines and bought... More
