A short taxi ride from the walled city of Lucca resides the real treasure of the area... Chef Paulo and his cooking school. My husband, our 15 year old son and I attended the Advanced Fish Class. It was one of the highlights of our two weeks in Italy. Chef Paulo is witty and fun and makes wonderful food while... More

Chef Paolo's cooking school was the most amazing, worthwhile experience. My family of 4 (two teenage daughters) spontaneously called the morning of August 1, Chef Paolo had openings and even accommodated us a bit earlier than usual. We made more than 10 amazing sauces, homemade fettuccine, ravioli and gnocchi. We had a feast of these dishes, as well as water,... More

I would definately recomend spending some of your valuable holiday time, in one of the cooking classes . Chef Paolo was very quick to answer my emails, and our class enjoyed the way the lessons were given. Go to the course on an empty stomache as you will eat all of the amazing dishes that are created.

We won Chef's cooking class at an auction not knowing what we were getting into. Wow how fortunate we are! Chef Paolo is not only a great chef and teacher but a warm and fun human being! We enjoyed every minute of our time with Chef. The classes, sharing dinner and wine, and traveling the Tuscan country side. Don't miss... More

When I read the reviews I wondered whether almost 500 people saying great things was too good to be true. It wasn't. We had a spectacular time cooking with Chef Paolo. He is interesting, accomplished and a delight to spend time with. We prepared 5 or 6 different sauces for 5 or 6 different kinds of pasta; two piatti secondi... More

Excellent !!!!!!! This are hands on classes and Paolo not only is a supurb chef but pratical and has excellent English (which is unusual). He also is a stand up comic. My husband had only been to one cooking class before and liked this so much he would go back. We use the recipies over and over and my husband... More

We took the 4 hour Tuscan cooking class. It went way beyond our expectations. The chef is engaging, professional, creative, and speaks perfect English ( for those of us not yet fluent in Italian). We've been coming to Tuscany for 18 years but this was our best visit ever - thanks to Chef Monti's class. Now we can take some... More

I recently returned from the week long Under the Tuscan Sun cooking school and it far exceeded my lofty expectations. Chef Paolo and his staff were fantastic! I went on the trip solo and was a bit nervous about having never been to Italy and not knowing anyone but I couldn't have felt more at home. My apartment was large... More

We are a family of 4 including 2 teenage girls . We spent the 5 hours of the day learning the basics of pasta making, stock and sauces . We were totally absorbed with chef Paolo Monti and his stories. He and his lovely staff member managed to keep 8 people cooking learning and laughing at his stories . Once... More
