Four of us from 1 family took the pasta & sauces course with chef Paulo last week & absolutely loved every minute of it, can't recommend this highly enough. We learnt 9 sauces, pasta, gnocchi & semi freddo, as a mixed experience group we all felt we learnt lots & lots and the best bit we ate a lot of wonderful food. Chef Paulo (& his 'jokes') were a joy. My only comment would be don't do what we did; don't eat lunch beforehand, we were 'Christmas' full by the time we left because you will want to try everything you have created. 5 stars from all 4 of us - loved it, if you get a chance to go, do so.

What a wonderful experience. One day experience and we paid up for the shopping experience (totally worth it). Chef Paolo was informative and entertaining. We had a perfect balance of hands on with enough guidance to keep us from running off the rails! The shopping tips and the kitchen tips were helpful and at times ah ha! Really recommend!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this 3-day cooking program with Chef Paolo, inclusive of accommodation & breakfast in a spacious apartment in this charming and quiet countryside part of Lucca. Upon our arrival, directly after a long flight from Singapore plus train journey, we were treated to a delicious full 4-course Tuscan dinner by Paolo himself. As there were only 2 of us since it is the low season, we had personal teaching and attention from Chef Paolo. Not only was the 2 cooking classes informative, fun and practical, Paolo also gave many useful tips (like how to chop onions efficiently). We learned so many recipes in just 2 sessions - 6 starters, 6 pastas /ravioli, 4 mains and 2 desserts. Of course, we got to feast on each course soon after it is prepared, together with bread, and wine, digest for a little while, before proceeding to learn to prepare the next course, and so on. There is no rush at all. At the end of this big, sumptuous lunch feast, we basically don't quite need dinner! Paolo also drove us to do marketing at the wholesale supermarket, explaining the various items there and answering our questions at the same time. This visit is indeed interesting too. We had a very comfortable 3 nights stay in a clean spacious 2-bedroom apartment looking out into a beautiful landscape with a corn field. And I was instantly charmed by this view! Alora! I strongly recommend to book the stay-in program to fully enjoy the whole Tuscan experience. It is really worth it!
